Oak Honey 750gr
€13.00
Oak honey collected from the mountainous areas of Kastoria every year at the end of July. In recent years it started to become known to Greek consumers and this is due to the fact that its black colour was not commercially available. Too bad of course, because according to a study by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which was conducted on 48 samples, including the famous manuka honey, oak honey was found to be the first by far for its antioxidant properties. Known as forest honey or melura, it belongs to the honey category. It is characterised by its intense black colour, neutral taste and density.
