Crystallized honey: how can we bring it back to life?

We have previously explained what is true about crystallized honey, the most frequent question which consumers are concerned about. Having made clear that in no case does crystallization necessarily signify better quality, it is time to take a look on how to bring honey back to its original state and enjoy it free of concerns.

Specifically, the honey in our jar may have lost its thick, liquid and golden form; however, this condition is not irreversible.

In particular, the best thing to do is put the honey jar either in a bowl of hot water or in a bain-marie. After 5-10 minutes, the honey will have returned to its previous sweet, soft and liquid form.

If, on the other hand, you seek even simpler solutions, you can put the honey jar inside a microwave oven, on the program that heats per 30”.

Fine, now our honey has taken its original form. And from now on? So as not to crystallize again, the solution is simple: we only have to store it in a dry and cool place. In any case, storing it in the fridge or in a dump place should be avoided.
